Aquarium Maintenance

This page contains information on Aquarium Maintenance

Cleaning your aquarium is not that hard if you have the right tools.

What do you need?

1.   Aquarium Sponge(Must be safe for fish)

2.   Gravel Vacuum

3.   Water Conditioner(When using water conditioner use the half of the recommended amount. For example it says 5 gallons per tease spoon or squirt. Use only 1 squirt or 1 tease spoon because water conditioner may sometimes spike your ammonia up.

4.   Bacteria Supplement(Most Bacteria Supplement recommended  dosage is  1 tease spoon per 10 gallons if your is different please follow your bottle instruction.

5.   Fish Net(For netting out dead leaves)

6.   Bucket(The one that uses a bucket(Shown on the top)) (If you have a Python(shown on the left), you don’t need one.)

First clean the aquarium glass with a sponge first to remove any algae. Then use the Gravel Vacuum to suck up any debris and to change the water. Then readd water to the aquarium. Then treat the aquarium water with water conditioner and bacteria supplement. The fish net is for netting out dead leaves from your aquarium.

Cleaning the Filter
You can clean the filter out by using the water you removed from the aquarium clean it.
